When should I reach out?
If you may be interested in working with Zoë during your reproductive journey, she recommends reaching out as soon as possible. While she does occasionally have last-minute availability, she books clients on a first-come first-serve basis.
What areas does Trillium Birth provide services in?
Zoë works with in-person with people throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. She is based in Royalton, Vermont. She can easily work with clients who live within 1.5 hours of Royalton, and will consider working with clients who live outside of that range.
Virtual doula support is considered on a case-by-case basis.
Virtual Babywearing consultation is available for anyone in the U.S.
What’s included in the birth doula package?
The birth package includes a free consultation to anyone considering hiring Zoë as their birth doula. This is a roughly 30-60 minute conversation over the phone or video chat during which you are invited to share your birth priorities, ask questions, and Zoë will answer any questions you have right about thir work.
Like all of Trillium Birth’s services, the support offered would be catered to best fit your needs. If you decide to hire Zoë as your doula, the birth doula package could include:
•Approximately 2-3 prenatal visits (number adjusted as needed)
During your prenatal visits, you’ll discuss your birthing preferences and work on a birth plan (if you haven’t already made one). You will also spend some time checking in with Zoë about how you’re feeling, and questions, concerns, or hopes you have about/for your birth.
Anyone you plan to have at your birth is welcome, but not required, to join the prenatal visits. Additionally, if you’d like Zoë to accompany you to a prenatal appointment with your care provider that is possible, as long as COVID-19 restrictions allow.
•Continuous labor support
Zoë can arrive early in your labor and stay with you until a little while after your baby is born. During this time she’ll be at your side to work on comfort during labor, support your care providers in working with you, and making sure your needs are met.
•Two Postpartum followups
Finally, within a few days or up to a week or two after you give birth, Zoë will visit you one more time, during which you can can share any questions or concerns. She can also help you write your birth story during this time.
What does postpartum support include?
Zoë provides day time postpartum support. Daytime shifts can be scheduled between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and can include one or more visits per week. Postpartum care, like all of Trillium Birth’s services, would be catered to your specific needs and could vary day-to-day. Postpartum support services offered by Trillium Birth include: meal preparation, light housework, caring for older children, running errands, baby care, and emotional support.
What precautions does Zoë take to ensure she is not spreading COVID-19?
Zoë is fully vaccinated. During all in-person prenatal visits, labor attendance, and postpartum visits Zoë will be in personal protective equipment, including a mask. She washes her hands frequently, including before entering your home.
She makes sure to communicate any known COVID exposures and adjusts visits accordingly.
What does abortion support include?
Trillium birth plans to begin offering abortion support in fall 2022. More details will be available soon.
How much does it cost to hire Zoë?
The birth package costs $1,800.
Postpartum services are offered at $50 an hour.
Babywearing consultations are $75 for the initial consultation and includes troubleshooting time afterwards.
Reduced cost or volunteer services may be available.
